International Mersey River Festival
24 & 25 june
The International Mersey River Festival is one of the UK’s biggest celebrations of everything nautical and much more besides. Boats and ships of all shapes and sizes, kayak polo to flyboarding displays, carnival style acts parading across the event over the three days and live music every night – it is non stop entertainment and the final stop of the Industry Pro Wakeboard Tour stands centre stage of the whole thing.
We will see some of the top athletes compete through at the Salthouse Dock using floating jumps and ramps to perform heart-stopping tricks. A few wildcards will be thrown in to the mix to ramp up the tension as they join 4x World Champion Nick Davies and athletes like Matt Muncey and Freddie Carter. Some local talent including Brandon Trumble and Harley Sommerville
The Industry team will have the final bespoke System 2.0 wake park installed in Salthouse Docks and ready to go by the Thursday with our riders out on the water practicing from that evening and right through Friday. As a three day festival, the many thousands of people will be roaming around the Liverpool docklands from the Friday onwards so the atmosphere will be buzzing from very early on!
Book early as it will be busy in town. There are, of course, lots of options in Liverpool but two of the nearest and cheapest to the event site that we have used before are listed below;
